What To Expect After Your Retreat
After the Plant Medicine Ceremony, it’s common to experience fatigue, introspection, a desire for solitude, and possibly a temporary loss of appetite. During this period, it’s important to prioritize self-care and listen to your body’s needs. Occasionally, individuals may encounter stomach discomfort or diarrhea, which typically resolve within 48 hours and are not cause for alarm.
Emotionally, for up to a week, you may experience heightened sensitivity. It’s totally normal and will gradually return to your normal self. Try to spend more time in solitude post-retreat, and meditate daily.

After-Care
Please listen to your body for what it needs. Here are a few other tips we suggest for after-care:
- Rest plenty: Turn off your phone and clear your schedule if possible. Take time to process your experience. Don’t rush back to distractions.
- Diet: Drink plenty of water, juice to replenish your body. We recommend continuing the pre-ceremony diet (vegetarian) for a few more days (up to 7 days), or gradually introduce red meat, dairy products, processed foods, caffeine, etc. if you really miss them.
- Lifestyle: you may not want to rush to sexual activities after the retreat. Be very mindful of the media you consume (as we always recommend anyway).
